
Driving Regulatory Excellence as a Director of Enforcement

Australia's Anti Money Laundering (AML)/Counter Terrorism Financing (CTF) regulator and financial intelligence unit is responsible for detecting, deterring and disrupting criminal exploitation of the Australian financial system.

As a Director within the Enforcement Team, you will lead key strategies, policies and procedures to enable effective regulation and enforcement of the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Act 2006.
- Provide high-level leadership to deliver agreed outcomes by building and maintaining a high-performing team with the appropriate capabilities and skill sets.
- Lead complex investigations and litigation externally and internally.
- Exercise professional judgement in Enforcement matters.
The ideal candidate has demonstrated knowledge and experience in Regulatory Compliance, Investigations, Enforcement and civil litigation.
Duties include leading information collection and analysis for investigations into potential non-compliance and implementing risk-based solutions. You must understand and apply correct legislation relevant to the situation under consideration to solve complex statutory interpretation issues.
To be eligible, you must be an Australian citizen at the time of application and meet necessary security clearance requirements. You will drive the development and implementation of strategies, policies and procedures to ensure effective regulation and enforcement. This role requires a strong understanding of regulatory compliance, investigations, enforcement and civil litigation. A key aspect is exercising professional judgement in Enforcement matters and providing guidance on complex statutory interpretation issues.
