We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our Enforcement team and drive the effective regulation and enforcement of key legislation.
The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of regulatory compliance, investigations, and enforcement, as well as excellent leadership and communication skills.

Job DescriptionThe Director, Enforcement will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of key strategies, policies, and procedures to enable the effective regulation and enforcement of the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Act 2006.
This role requires a high level of expertise in regulatory compliance, investigations, and enforcement, as well as strong leadership and communication skills.
The successful candidate will provide advice to senior management and contribute to the achievement of AUSTRAC's strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the development and implementation of key strategies, policies, and procedures to enable the effective regulation and enforcement of the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Act 2006.
- Provide high-level leadership and direction to the Enforcement team, ensuring they have the necessary capabilities and skill sets to deliver agreed outcomes.
- Exercise complex professional judgement in Enforcement matters, taking into account the needs of stakeholders and the requirements of the organisation.
- Represent AUSTRAC in external forums and liaise with external and internal stakeholders to build and maintain networks.
- Tertiary qualifications in law, finance, justice or similar fields, as well as familiarity with government investigations.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to lead and manage a team.
- Expertise in regulatory compliance, investigations, and enforcement, with a deep understanding of the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Act 2006.
- Able to exercise complex professional judgement in Enforcement matters, taking into account the needs of stakeholders and the requirements of the organisation.
