About the Role:

The Queensland Department of Education is seeking a Senior Physiotherapist with paediatric and education scope of practice knowledge and skill to work in our school communities in Far North Queensland.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Form strategic partnerships with schools, allied health professionals, and families to promote evidence-based and best-practice physiotherapy.
  • Participate in specialised projects and research activities in consultation with the supervising physiotherapist.
  • Share physiotherapy models, practices, and resources with other physiotherapists within the department.
  • Support new staff and university physiotherapy students in placements following consultation with the supervising physiotherapist.

Requirements:

  • Possession of a degree in physiotherapy from a recognised tertiary institution or other equivalent formal qualifications.
  • General registration as a physiotherapist through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
