About the Role

The Queensland Government Department of Education is seeking a highly skilled Senior Physiotherapist to join our team in Far North Queensland. As a key member of our health services team, you will play a vital role in supporting students with physical impairments to access their school environment and participate in all aspects of their education.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement evidence-based physiotherapy programs to promote student participation and inclusion in education.
  • Collaborate with schools, allied health professionals, and families to provide comprehensive support services.
  • Contribute to the development of physiotherapy models, practices, and resources to enhance student outcomes.
  • Provide mentorship and support to new staff and university physiotherapy students on placements.
Requirements
  • Postgraduate degree in physiotherapy from a recognized tertiary institution.
  • General registration as a physiotherapist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
