Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Operations Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling curbside collection fleets, consulting with line management on operational targets, and ensuring pre-start, post-run, and minor day-to-day maintenance tasks are carried out on all equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and schedule curbside collection fleets to ensure all Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are achieved.
  • Consult with line management on the development and management of operational targets.
  • Ensure pre-start, post-run, and minor day-to-day maintenance tasks are carried out on all equipment.
  • Lead by example, fostering a good team culture and solid work ethic.
  • Drive operational efficiencies within the team through continual review and improvement of site practices.
  • Manage and prepare detailed reports, including toolbox meetings.
  • Lead performance management investigations and outcomes.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have landfill or waste background experience, be approachable, and possess good people skills. A minimum of 2-3 years' experience in a supervisory role is preferred, with exposure to comprehensive safety management systems desirable. Experience within transport/waste/logistics/recycling industries is an advantage, as well as knowledge of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) and environmental legislation.

Able to work independently, the successful candidate will be able to manage multiple priorities, lead teams, and make decisions under pressure.
