As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in empowering individuals with disabilities to live independently and maintain their best possible social wellbeing.

You will work closely with customers across Penrith and Campbelltown area, supporting them to achieve their personal goals and live satisfying lives in the community. This customer-centric role requires flexibility, reliability, and strong communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting customers to achieve their goals
  • Facilitating individual & group activities
  • Transporting customers to & from services & activities
  • Maintaining & establishing links to community
  • Promoting independent decision making
  • Working within the principles of person-centred practice
Requirements
  • Mental Health and/or NDIS experience (essential)
  • SLES or group program experience (advantageous)
  • Ability to work in a team & individually
  • Ability to build rapport with a diverse range of customers
  • Experience working with young customers with complex support needs
  • Driven, energetic & committed
  • Strong communication skills
  • Flexible and reliable (essential)
  • Current driver's licence (essential)
  • Blue Card and Yellow Card (or willing to obtain)
  • NDIS Worker Screen (or ability to obtain one is essential)
  • COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate (or willing to obtain before 15th December) or provide medical exemption certificate
