Comprehensive In-Home Support Assistant Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate individual to provide comprehensive in-home support assistance to our elderly customers. As an integral part of our team, you will be responsible for delivering tailored care services that enhance the quality of life and well-being of our customers.

About the Role:

  • Providing domestic assistance including cleaning, maintaining a safe and comfortable living environment, and assisting with meal preparation and shopping.
  • Offering social support and access to lifestyle activities, promoting mental stimulation and emotional well-being.
  • Providing personal care including getting customers up, showered, and dressed, managing medications, assisting with mobility and therapy goals.
  • Providing respite and emotional support, understanding the complexities of dementia care and providing compassionate care.
  • Social support and transportation to appointments, ensuring our customers receive the care they need.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers, families, and colleagues.
  2. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless delivery of care services.
  3. Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
  4. Contribute to a culture of excellence, adhering to our high standards of customer care.

Requirements:

  • Current P1 class or above Australian Drivers License and a registered vehicle.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and not take things personally.
  • Availability to work at least 3 days, Monday to Friday, with no night or weekend work.
  • Comfortable working independently and finding solutions to everyday problems.
