Job Title: Disability Support Worker

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Support Worker to join our team and assist clients living in the Hills District. The role involves providing person-centred support to individuals with varying needs, helping them maintain independence, improve quality of life, and participate in their communities.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide personal care, domestic assistance, and companionship.
  2. Support clients in daily living activities such as shopping, appointments, and recreational outings.
  3. Assist with mobility, meal preparation, and medication prompts (as needed).
  4. Encourage and support client independence and empowerment.
  5. Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with the wider support team.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

We require:

  • • Minimum 6 months experience in a support worker, aged care or community care role
    • Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, Aged Care, or related field (desirable)
    • A reliable car, current driver's licence, and comprehensive car insurance
    • Current First Aid and CPR certificates
    • Valid NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
    • COVID-19 vaccination status in line with health regulations
    • Excellent communication skills and a caring, respectful attitude
