About Our Team Member

As a Guest Service Agent, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, creating a warm and memorable experience from the moment they arrive. Your role will involve managing check-ins and check-outs, handling bookings and transactions, and providing local insights to enhance each stay.

A little taste of your day-to-day:

  • Be the warm welcome that kicks off a memorable guest experience
  • Take and manage guest bookings, up-selling opportunities and telling them about ways to improve their stay
  • Handle cash and credit transactions
  • Acknowledge IHG Rewards Club members and returning guests, in person or on the phone
  • Take pride in your appearance and place as a brand ambassador
  • Be a trusted contact for all guests, helping them with anything from bill issues to local knowledge, and looping in management when necessary

What We Need From You

  • Full working rights in Australia without restrictions (a kind reminder that sponsorship is not available for this role)
  • Prior experience working as a Guest Service Agent at a luxury hotel is preferred
  • Mandatory certifications include RSA
  • A high school diploma or qualification is required, a college or university degree would be a bonus
  • Experience in Opera preferred
  • Passion for providing luxury experiences, not shy to go above and beyond to personalize our guests' stay and provide your local wisdom to enhance their experience
  • Ongoing availability to work flexibly as rostered, including nights, weekends, and public holidays
  • Impeccable grooming standards and good personal hygiene are essential
  • An organized approach, ability to handle large amounts of information at once, and deal with various requests simultaneously
  • Good communication and writing skills are necessary
  • Physical fitness is required as you'll be on your feet most of the day, sometimes needing to lift, push, and pull objects, such as tables, up to 23 kg – we have the equipment to support you and keep you safe
