Senior Data Operations Specialist

Overview:

The Senior Data Operations Specialist will play a pivotal role in designing, building, and maintaining robust data platforms for real-time data streaming, distribution, and secure file transfer.

This hands-on technical specialist will ensure high availability, resilience, and security of our real-time data platforms. The successful candidate will build automation for provisioning, monitoring, and scaling the platforms using AWS Services (EC2, S3, EKS, IAM) with tools like Terraform, Ansible, and GitLab.

  • Deploy, operate, and manage data streaming and distribution platforms in a hybrid environment consisting of on-prem and cloud environments.
  • Perform day-to-day platform operations like upgrades, scaling, patching, and monitoring via CI/CD pipelines.
  • Remediate aged asset and security risks by migration of ASX data distribution platforms to new architecture.
  • Build out standard operating procedures, fulfill service requests, resolve incidents, and analyze problems.
  • Build and maintain DevOps pipelines and practices to streamline the development, testing, and deployment processes of the Integration Platform.
Requirements:
  • Successful experience deploying and operating data platforms in a production environment.
  • Experience in building, deploying, and managing services in a cloud environment using DevOps tooling.
  • Experience as a platform engineer with Unix, Windows knowledge, and scripting using Shell, Perl, PowerShell, Python, etc.
  • Excellent technical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven record of delivering technical solutions that meet set requirements.
  • Operated in or developed a reasonable understanding of finance services.
  • Exposure to enterprise management tools.
