Job Opportunity

The Victorian Government seeks a highly skilled professional to lead student wellbeing and outcomes in schools. We are looking for an individual who can implement whole-school improvement initiatives, develop high-impact teaching strategies, and maintain excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the implementation of whole-school improvement initiatives related to the school strategic plan and priorities.
  • Develop and implement high-impact teaching strategies that respond to student learning needs.
  • Maintain exemplary interpersonal and leadership skills, leading collaborative relationships with students, colleagues, parents, and the broader school community focused on student learning, agency, wellbeing, and engagement.
  • Model behaviours and attitudes consistent with Department values and support colleagues to adopt these practices.
  • Contribute to the overall leadership and management of the school.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated expert knowledge of relevant curriculum areas.
  • Ability to lead and manage staff performance and development, including review of staff, professional development, and individual and team development plans.
  • Proven knowledge, expertise, and leadership in supporting students, staff, and families through inclusive practices.

Selection Criteria:

  1. Expertise in leading and managing high-impact teaching strategies.
  2. Excellent ability to monitor and assess student learning at a class, cohort, or whole-school level and use this data to drive improvement initiatives.
  3. Exemplary interpersonal and leadership skills, leading collaborative relationships with students, colleagues, parents, and the broader school community.
  4. Ability to model and promote Department values.
  5. Leadership skills in supporting students, staff, and families through inclusive practices.
