We are seeking a visionary leader to spearhead the development of our planning application Atlas, driving innovation and maximising supply chain efficiency.

Working in close collaboration with a talented team of planners and data analysts, you will be responsible for problem-solving and scenario-planning, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing solutions.

As a Technical Lead Data Sciences, you will delve into vast datasets to uncover insights that unlock system capacity and drive business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the continuous support and development of optimisation planning application.
  • Draw on diverse data sources to conduct analysis and provide actionable insights across the supply chain.
  • Support the review of analysis and assumptions on key data sets as part of regular planning processes.
  • Apply statistical analysis techniques to inform supply chain performance and drive business decisions.
  • Develop and maintain supporting toolkits, including static capacity models and analysis processes.
  • Mentor peers in data analysis best practices and innovative methods.
  • Proactively manage project timelines and outcomes, whether working individually or as part of a larger team.
  • Contribute to the overall strategy of the system's landscape, guiding vendors and teams to deliver strategic objectives.
  • Communicate complex analysis outcomes to operations stakeholders.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Tertiary qualifications in Data Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related fields.
  • Previous experience in supply chain data analysis, particularly in the Mining industry and Time Usage Models.
  • Advanced Python programming skills, with proficiency in Pyomo highly regarded.
  • Familiarity with mixed-integer programming (MIP) and model relaxation strategies.
  • Experience with Gurobi solver configuration and tuning.
  • Strong SQL skills and ability to work with large datasets such as Snowflake and data historian systems.
  • Experience with collaboration tools & ticketing systems is preferred.
