We are seeking a Technical Lead Data Sciences professional to join our Integrated Planning and Analysis team.

This role will be a key leader in the development of our new planning application Atlas, which aims to maximise supply chain efficiency. Working alongside a team of supply chain planners and data analysts, you will solve complex problems and improve processes before deploying into production.

You will dive into vast datasets across our supply chain to find insights that unlock system capacity and drive business goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support and develop optimisation planning applications.
  • Analyse data sources to conduct analysis across supply chain capacity impact questions.
  • Review analysis and assumptions on key data sets as part of regular planning processes.
  • Apply statistical analysis techniques to provide insights on supply chain performance.
  • Drive toolkits development and maintenance, including static capacity models and analysis processes.
  • Mentor peers in data analysis best practices and innovative insights derivation.
  • Proactively drive project outcomes and timelines.
  • Guide vendors and teams to deliver to overall strategy.
  • Communicate insights and analysis outcomes to stakeholders.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Data Science, Mathematics, Engineering or similar discipline.
  • Previous experience in supply chain data analysis, with exposure to Mining industry and Time Usage Models well regarded.
  • Advanced Python programming skills, with Pyomo experience well regarded.
  • Understanding of mixed-integer programming and model relaxation strategies.
  • Experience in Gurobi solver configuration and tuning.
  • Strong SQL skills and comfortable working with large datasets.
  • Experience with collaboration tools and ticketing systems preferred.
