Maternity Care Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Maternity Care Specialist to deliver exceptional care to women and their families in our Birth Unit.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide evidence-based midwifery care and ensure an outstanding patient experience
  • Liaise with the multidisciplinary team to guarantee seamless care delivery
  • Ensure patient and staff safety through strict adherence to hospital policies and procedures
  • Supervise and direct midwifery/nursing team members to deliver high-quality patient care
  • Offer education and support to mothers and their families
Essential Criteria:
  • Current Midwifery Registration with AHPRA is mandatory
  • Compliance with NSW Working with Children Check is essential
  • Proven experience in a similar role is required
  • Special Care Nursery experience is advantageous
  • Sound clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills are necessary
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills are essential
  • Ability to work well independently and within a team is crucial
  • Compliance with NSW Health Policy PD2020_017 Occupational Screening, Assessment & Vaccination against Specified Infectious Diseases as a Category A Healthcare worker is mandatory
  • Basic computer skills are required
