Job Overview

The ideal candidate for this role will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust and scalable data transformation pipelines and data models. They will work closely with analysts, business intelligence specialists, and business users to understand their requirements and build scalable solutions that empower them to answer their own questions and uncover critical insights.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable data transformation pipelines and data models using advanced software tools.
  • Report & Dashboard Enablement: Build and optimize curated data marts that power our business intelligence tools.
  • Collaborate with BI specialists to develop and maintain key reports and dashboards, ensuring they are fed by clean, reliable, and performant data.
  • Data Quality and Governance: Implement and automate data quality tests, documentation, and lineage within projects.
  • You will be accountable for the accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of data delivered to the business.
  • Data Extraction & Scripting: Use programming languages to perform data extraction, validation, and ad-hoc analysis.
  • Develop scripts to automate data processes and enhance analytics capabilities.
  • Requirements Gathering: Work directly with business stakeholders to gather and clarify requirements for analytics projects, translating business needs into technical specifications.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • ESSENTIALS - 1-4 years of experience in a data-focused role such as Analytics Engineer or Data Analyst.
  • Strong proficiency in complex querying and data manipulation.
  • Hands-on experience with data transformation tools, preferably with a strong preference for DBT.
  • Experience working with cloud data warehouses, specifically Snowflake.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in building reports and data visualizations using BI tools like Tableau.
  • Programming skills in Python for data analysis (e.g., using libraries like Pandas) and scripting.
  • Familiarity with software engineering best practices and version control using Git.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
