Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Transformation Specialist to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our data engineering group, you will be responsible for transforming raw data into reliable, accessible, and actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable data transformation pipelines and data models using advanced tools and techniques.
  • Build and optimize curated data marts that power our business intelligence tools.
  • Collaborate with BI specialists to develop and maintain key reports and dashboards in Tableau, ensuring they are fed by clean, reliable, and performant data.
  • Implement and automate data quality tests, documentation, and lineage within our projects.
  • Use Python and SQL to perform data extraction, validation, and ad-hoc analysis.
  • Develop scripts to automate data processes and enhance our analytics capabilities.
  • Work directly with stakeholders to gather and clarify requirements for analytics projects, translating business needs into technical specifications for data models and reports.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 1-4 years of experience in a data-focused role such as Analytics Engineer, Data Analyst, or Business Intelligence Developer.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL for complex querying and data manipulation.
  • Hands-on experience with a data transformation tool, with a strong preference for DBT.
  • Experience working with cloud data warehouses, specifically Snowflake.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in building reports and data visualizations using a BI tool like Tableau.
  • Programming skills in Python for data analysis (e.g., using libraries like Pandas) and scripting.
  • Familiarity with software engineering best practices and version control using Git.
