We are seeking an experienced Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team. As a Heavy Duty Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing general routine servicing, repair, and maintenance on heavy vehicles and electric buses.
This role offers opportunities to develop your skills as we transition into the electric bus revolution.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform Routine Servicing: Perform general routine servicing on heavy vehicles and electric buses, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements.
- Conduct Pre-Delivery Inspections: Conduct pre-delivery mechanical inspections in accordance with OEM requirements to ensure that all vehicles meet our high standards.
- Diagnose and Repair Faults: Investigate, diagnose, and repair warranty faults in line with OEM requirements to minimize downtime and maximize customer satisfaction.
- Identify and Report Faults: Identify and report faults not raised by customers, but items that require attention or repair to maintain the quality of our vehicles.
- The Ability to Work Independently: The ability to work unsupervised and follow instructions to complete tasks efficiently and effectively.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Good problem-solving skills and the ability to think quickly to resolve complex issues.
- Communication Skills: The ability to build and maintain relationships with customers, clients, and suppliers through effective communication.
- Trade Qualifications: Trade qualifications with post-trade experience – preferably in heavy diesel mechanical trade.
- An Interest in Electric Vehicles: An interest in electric or hybrid vehicles and a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
