Heavy Duty Mechanic Position

The Opportunity:

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Mechanic to oversee the rebuild centre and ensure all work is completed to the highest standard.

This role involves managing daily operations, supervising junior staff members, and contributing to training programs and procedures.

  • Oversee the component rebuild centre's daily activities
  • Ensure safe and efficient completion of work
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff members
  • Develop and implement training programs and procedures

Key Responsibilities:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience as a Leading Hand or in a similar position
  • An automotive or engineering trade certificate with component rebuild experience on Caterpillar equipment preferred
  • Rebuild experience on one or more of the following: Caterpillar transmissions, torque converters, diffs, and final drives, wheel groups, hydraulic cylinders
  • Competent computer skills with experience using Caterpillar SIS preferred
  • Knowledge of occupational health and safety measures in the workplace
  • A pre-employment medical, DAS, and valid driver's licence and workplace licenses
