Hiring a skilled Energy Trader for our team in Melbourne. We are focused on optimizing energy storage and renewable generation assets globally through complex models and trading.

This role will be an integral part of our commercial team, shaping asset optimization and trading efforts in the Australian National Electricity Market (NEM).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess risks and opportunities by coordinating with the client team; support relationships with key clients, market operators, and other stakeholders.
  • Develop and refine trading protocols and operational workflows; provide input into product development roadmaps and service offerings.
  • Optimize physical and financial trading positions within real-time electricity markets to maximize value capture for clients.
  • Monitor trading outcomes and client portfolios; analyze the NEM to understand fundamental drivers of market characteristics.
Requirements:
  • A degree in business, economics, finance, computer science, engineering or related field is required.
  • 2+ years of experience in physical or financial trading in Australian electricity markets.
  • Experience in providing outstanding customer service.
  • Strong judgment in high-pressure situations.
