Job Opportunity

Habitat Energy is a technology company focused on the optimisation of energy storage and renewable generation assets globally. By maximising returns from these assets we aim to drive investment in renewable energy.

This role will be an integral member of our commercial team, shaping asset optimisation and trading efforts. The role will focus on the Australian National Electricity Market (NEM).

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess risks and opportunities of asset operations by coordinating with stakeholders; support relationships with key clients, market operators, and other key stakeholders.
  • Develop and refine trading protocols and operational workflows; provide input into the product development roadmap and service offerings, identifying new market opportunities.
  • Optimise physical and financial trading positions within real-time electricity markets with a focus on value capture for clients; collaborate with teams to develop and implement trading strategies while complying with risk limits and trading control procedures.
  • Compare results with similar assets in the market; monitor trading outcomes and client portfolios; analyse the NEM to understand fundamental drivers of market characteristics.
