They also serve Magistrates Courts at Ayr, Ingham, Charters Towers, Palm Island, Hughenden, and Richmond.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a prosecution service for the designated area of responsibility.
  • Represent the Queensland Police Service and its members in matters related to the service's functions and proceedings before various courts.
  • Offer legal advice within the specified area of expertise on matters concerning court processes.
  • Monitor the quality of briefs of evidence provided by police to ensure high standards are maintained.
  • Liaise with the Queensland Police Service, the legal profession, government agencies, and the community to establish effective working relationships and achieve desired policing outcomes.
  • Identify environmental factors affecting the work area and contribute to the development and provision of legal research, argument, submissions, opinion, and advice.
  • Maintain high standards of performance and conduct in daily work activities.
Role Requirements
  • Be admitted or eligible for immediate admission as a legal practitioner in the State of Queensland.
