Graduate Environmental Specialist

This role provides a unique opportunity for a graduate to gain real-world experience in environmental health, making a tangible impact on public well-being.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct investigations relative to state and local laws with a focus on public health, environmental protection, and environmental health, utilizing analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Lead and/or partake in proactive work with the community, partners, and stakeholders to educate and provide advice on compliance with local and state laws, fostering collaborative relationships and trust.
- Perform routine inspections of regulated businesses, ensuring adherence to regulations and taking enforcement actions when necessary, maintaining a high level of integrity and professionalism.
We seek a meticulous and organized individual with strong communication skills who can follow instructions precisely and prioritize tasks effectively, demonstrating exceptional time management and problem-solving abilities.
You will need to possess a comprehensive understanding of environmental health legislation, including the Public Health Act, Environmental Protection Act, and other relevant acts, staying up-to-date with changes and updates in the field.
