Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Trainee in Conservation and Land Management. As a trainee, you will have the opportunity to gain practical experience and develop your skills in general bushland maintenance tasks.

This full-time position is 2 years in duration and is located at the Council's Southern Operations Centre in Dawesville. You will work alongside our experienced team members to complete a nationally recognised qualification (Certificate III in Conservation and Ecosystem Management) while gaining hands-on experience in conservation and land management practices.

Requirements
  • You must have finished or be about to finish school and be looking for your next opportunity.
  • You should be passionate about conservation and land management, with a genuine demonstrated interest in this field.
  • You will need to possess a positive attitude, be reliable, hardworking, and self-motivated.
  • You must have a current unrestricted C-B (Manual) class national driver's licence and be physically fit to undertake manual tasks in all weather conditions.
  • You will require basic computer skills, including the ability to operate MS Office software packages.

  • This role attracts a salary range of $34,354 to $59,339 gross per annum, depending on age.
