Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic trainee to join our team in Conservation and Land Management.

  • As a trainee, you will complete a nationally recognised qualification (Certificate III in Conservation and Ecosystem Management) while gaining practical knowledge and skills in general bushland maintenance tasks through on the job experience.
  • You will work with a dedicated team to create a culture based on respect, trust and inclusiveness.
  • Our ideal candidate will have a genuine demonstrated interest in conservation and land management, a strong team player, and a positive attitude.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete a nationally recognised qualification (Certificate III in Conservation and Ecosystem Management)
  • Gain practical knowledge and skills in general bushland maintenance tasks
  • Work with a dedicated team to create a culture based on respect, trust and inclusiveness

Requirements:

  • School leavers: OLNA or NAPLAN 9 Band 8
  • Non-school leavers: C grades in Year 12 English and Maths or Certificate II in Conservation and Ecosystem Management
  • Genuine demonstrated interest in conservation and land management
  • Current unrestricted C-B (Manual) class national driver's licence
  • Physically fit and capable of undertaking manual tasks in all weather conditions
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Self-motivated and keen to learn
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Be a confident communicator
  • Ability to follow instructions and take direction
  • A strong team player
  • Basic knowledge of hand tools
  • Reliable and hardworking
  • Computer skills with the ability to operate MS Office software packages, tablets and mobile devices
