Job Title: Trainee Natural Areas

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Trainee Natural Areas. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in conservation and land management while completing a nationally recognized qualification.

About the Role

This full-time traineeship is a 2-year program that will provide you with the skills and knowledge to succeed in a career in conservation and land management. As a Trainee Natural Areas, you will work alongside experienced professionals to complete a range of tasks, including general bushland maintenance, conservation and land management projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the maintenance of bushland areas, including weeding, pruning and mulching
  • Contribute to conservation and land management projects, including habitat restoration and species management
  • Develop and implement conservation plans and strategies
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve project goals and objectives
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A strong interest in conservation and land management
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Physical fitness to perform manual tasks in all weather conditions
  • Current unrestricted C-B (Manual) class national driver's licence
