Job Description

This role involves working with families to ensure the safety and well-being of children. You will be responsible for responding to reports of safety concerns, collaborating with other agencies, and assisting families in formulating goals that align with their needs.

  • You will work sensitively and respectfully with parents, family members, children or young people.
  • You will collaborate with other agencies and engage in complex problem-solving.
  • You will assist families in addressing safety and well-being concerns through home visits.
  • You will develop safety plans and complete risk assessments.
  • You will manage cases and situations, including working with high-needs and high-risk clients and their families.
  • You will be involved in court processes, including preparing court documents and attending court.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of child protection principles and practices, as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills. A valid driver's license is required. We offer a competitive salary, flexible work arrangements, and a supportive team environment. The role is based in Cowra, NSW, but may require travel to other locations within the Western NSW district.
