The Aboriginal Child Protection Caseworker plays a critical role in safeguarding the well-being of vulnerable children and their families.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate effectively with other agencies to address complex issues.
- Work closely with families to develop personalized plans, addressing concerns and providing support through home visits.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments and create effective safety plans.
- Manage high-needs cases and situations, prioritizing client needs.
- Participate in court processes, preparing documents and attending hearings as required.
- A relevant diploma or degree is preferred, but applicants without may have at least two years' experience working with vulnerable populations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential for building positive relationships with clients and colleagues.
- A valid driver's license and paid working with children clearance are also necessary.
- Verification of Aboriginality is required to confirm eligibility for this position.
