Care Aide Role Overview

Our organization is seeking experienced and dedicated Care Aides to provide exceptional care and support to clients in a home care/community setting. As a valued member of our Aged Care Team, you will play a vital role in enhancing and encouraging participation in client care, promoting independence where possible.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a range of personal care tasks, including showering, grooming, toileting, and medication assistance. Additionally, they will assist with meal preparation, domestic assistance, and social support in the community.

A predetermined schedule will be followed, requiring travel from home to home. Therefore, having unrestricted access to a vehicle and the ability to follow a digital schedule and care plan autonomously via a mobile app is essential.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support, HACC, or Disability is highly desirable, although not essential.
  • Minimum of 3 months relevant care worker experience required for those with a relevant Certificate, or 6+ months experience for those without.
  • Experience working in a home care/community setting is highly desirable.
  • A valid Drivers' License with unrestricted access to a registered vehicle which is appropriately insured and in good condition, is essential.
