Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Service Manager to lead our Kalgoorlie Centre. The successful candidate will have a strong background in managing operational systems, staff performance and stakeholder relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop service delivery to young people and their families.
  • Communicate and promote our vision, strategic plan and regional business plan.
  • Promote a supportive team environment.
  • Provide management oversight to headspace staff at the Esperance Service.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the headspace Kalgoorlie Centre.
  • Manage recruitment and selection of new staff ensuring their orientation to service procedures and operations.
  • Monitor staff performance and development addressing performance issues effectively.
  • Shape a productive working environment where staff understand their contributions to organisational success.
  • Support the Regional General Manager Goldfields North in developing the annual regional business plan and ensuring deliverables are met.

Requirements:

  • Culturally secure and competent approach.
  • Degree level qualifications in allied health, behavioural/social sciences, youth work, mental health nursing or a related discipline.
  • Substantial experience managing operational systems for a health organisation.
  • Experience managing all aspects of staff performance including recruitment, supervision and team building.
  • Proven track record in building effective working relationships with stakeholders.
  • Highly developed verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills establishing and maintaining relationships with diverse individuals.
  • Broad understanding of challenges faced by young people in Australia.
