About a Youth Accommodation Service Team Leader Role

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate individual to lead our youth accommodation service team in Kalgoorlie. The successful candidate will have the ability to guide a group of passionate youth workers who support 15–24-year-olds experiencing, or at risk of, homelessness.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the needs of young people and be able to provide leadership and guidance to ensure the delivery of high-quality services.

  • Making sure our service processes and tools are in place so young people get the best support possible
  • Organising rosters and keeping things running smoothly for the team
  • Offering expertise to help youth workers navigate tricky case situations
  • Leading from the front to ensure quality service and positive outcomes for every young person we work with
  • Joining in regular case reviews so each young person's plan is current and effective
  • Making sure safety and risk plans are up-to-date and followed
  • Keeping an eye on how the service is tracking and working with the Program Manager to find solutions if challenges pop up

This role requires a degree qualification in social work, welfare, community development or related field, as well as experience in leading and supervising staff. A WA Working with Children Check and Drivers licence are also essential.
