Advanced Cardiac Care Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Critical Care Registered Nurse to join our Cardiac Care Unit. This role requires post-graduate qualification in critical care and recent clinical experience within Cardiac Care.
The unit provides extensive medical and surgical cardiac services to a varied patient group. It focuses on coronary diagnostics, interventions, electrophysiology studies, and device implantations.
You will be responsible for providing comprehensive patient care and coordinating the supervision of care delivered by junior staff and students within Critical Care.
Key Responsibilities:- Provides direct total patient care to patients to achieve identified outcomes in accordance with established hospital policies and procedures.
- Demonstrates knowledge of legislation and common law affecting nursing practice and acknowledges accountability for own actions.
- Maintains harmonious interpersonal relationships and effective teamwork between staff, patients, relatives, doctors, and ancillary staff.
- Assists and collaborates with team members in assessing allocated patients.
- Ensures accurate and timely documentation.
- Communicates effectively with all members of the care team and reports changes in patients' status to appropriate personnel.
- Initiates discharge planning on patients' admission to ensure appropriate use of resources and prepares patients/families for discharge.
- Documents any incidents and reports them to NUM/ANUM.
To succeed, you will have well-developed interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to identify and solve problems. You will demonstrate commitment to quality patient care and satisfaction.
