Critical care is a dynamic field that requires advanced clinical skills and a high degree of autonomy. As a registered nurse with a postgraduate diploma in critical care, you will be responsible for the care of complex cardiac patients in various settings. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop your skills and work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
The graduate diploma program is a 12-month course that includes rotations across ICU, cardiac theatre, and cardiac catheter laboratory. You will engage in a well-established structured program and benefit from shift support offered through clinical support nurses. The competencies required for this role include advanced electrocardiography, complex pharmacological management, arrhythmia interventions, and post-operative cardiothoracic care.
To be eligible for this position, you must have a minimum of two years' acute nursing experience and previous cardiac nursing experience is desirable.
