Procurement Manager

Talent International is seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for managing the vendor portfolio, defining requirements, finding vendors, and cultivating relationships.
The ideal candidate will have 4 to 6 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of the Digital and ICT Investment Oversight Framework. You will be responsible for planning and managing procurement activities, preparing documentation, and driving procurement activities with our team and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet business needs
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts
- Prepare and review procurement documentation, including business cases and approval briefs
- Ensure procurement activities are compliant with prescribed policy and procedures
- Provide procurement advice and guidance to stakeholders
Essential Criteria:
- Australian Citizenship is a requirement
- 4 to 6 years' experience in a similar role
- Demonstrate experience in navigating the Commonwealth investment framework
- Demonstrate a great understanding of the Digital and ICT Investment Oversight Framework
- Demonstrate successful management of vendor relationships
- Demonstrate negotiation skills and contract management
- Demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proven commitment to developing staff capability and fostering a positive culture
Desirable Criteria:
- Familiarity with the Commonwealth resource management framework
- Familiarity with the ICT Investment Approval Process
- Comfortable with new ways of thinking about accessibility and enthusiastic about accessible design and development
