Job Overview

The role of the Occupational Health and Safety Officer is to ensure compliance with all relevant OHS requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

1. WHS Risk Management:

- Identify and implement strategies to mitigate potential risks across the business
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure compliance with organisational policy and regulatory requirements
- Provide input and review of OH&S policies and procedures
- Conduct OHS risk assessments for work sites, outreach programs, and tenancy management activities and monitor controls
- Promote ongoing safe work practices and embed a strong safety culture within the organisation.

2. Qualifications and Experience:

- Relevant qualifications in WHS/Risk Management
- Experience in implementing WHS management systems
- Ability to undertake WHS audits and investigations
- Strong knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act 2004 legislation, NDIS Practice Standards and Equal Opportunity Principles.
- Excellent computer literacy and high administrative skills.
