Diesel Fitter/Mechanic

We are seeking an experienced Diesel Fitter/Mechanic to join our team for immediate start in the outer south western corridor of Sydney. This is a permanent employment opportunity with field and workshop roles available.

The ideal candidate will have excellent mechanical skills, attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. They will be responsible for attending breakdowns, servicing, repairing and maintaining construction/mobile plant and crushing screens.

  • Attend to breakdowns and service mobile plant and crushing screens
  • Maintain equipment in good working condition
  • Repair and replace faulty parts as required

In addition to mechanical skills, the successful candidate will also possess excellent communication and customer service skills. They will be able to work effectively in a team environment and take direction from supervisors.

The role offers regular overtime paid at penalty rates and stat off as permanent positions. Negotiable rates based on experience.

Requirements:
  • Clean MR/HR licence (for Field roles only)
  • Able to commit to interstate/international travel when required (for Field roles only)
  • Customer service focused
  • Basic understanding of computers and programs
  • Safety focused
  • Own compliment of relevant hand tools
  • Experience in heavy mobile plant highly regarded
