About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Modelling Specialist to join our Enterprise Data Architecture team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in defining data architecture strategy, standards, and frameworks to promote data modelling as an asset to enable both defensive and offensive use of data to maximise value.

The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders across Macquarie to promote data modelling and help analyse requirements, legacy processes, and data documentation to resolve complex enterprise data challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the rollout of a new data modelling tool by driving data modelling working groups
  • Undertake business analysis work associated with Enterprise data models to feed requirements back to the enterprise data architect
  • Collaborate with a team of enterprise data modellers and data architects to service the data modelling community
Requirements
  • 4+ years of experience in a technical data or business analytics role, supporting activity from requirements gathering to design and development in data projects
  • Experience with data modeling and tools like ERWIN, and working knowledge of aspects of data modelling
  • Familiarity with the entire data project lifecycle, AWS data stack, SQL, and reporting tools like Power BI, Agile methodology, and tools like JIRA and Confluence
  • A customer-focused approach, strong stakeholder management abilities, and a learning mindset to grow into the role
