About the Role

Calleo is seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst/Modeller to join our team. As a key member of our analytics team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining mathematical models to project workforce demand and supply.

Key Responsibilities
  • Model Development: Develop, enhance, and maintain a range of mathematical models to project workforce demand and supply.
  • Analytics and Insights: Apply in-depth knowledge of forecasting, statistics, machine learning algorithms, and quantitative techniques to produce actionable policy insights.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work with a cross-functional team of analysts, modellers, software developers, and cloud engineers to develop a health workforce supply and demand modelling tool.
  • Data Analysis: Undertake complex data analysis, interpretation, and investigation of large data sets.
  • Communication: Present data and complex numerical information in a clear and concise manner and clearly communicate statistical concepts to senior and non-technical audiences.
Requirements
  • Experience: Proven working experience as a data analyst or data scientist.
  • Expertise: Deep expertise in algorithms and statistical methods.
  • Skills: Demonstrated skills in applying computational problem-solving approaches, including problem identification, methodology definition, implementation, and assessment.
  • Programming Languages: Demonstrated knowledge and experience with analytics programming languages and tools, particularly R.
  • Data Wrangling and Visualisation: Strong data wrangling, visualisation, and analysis skills.
  • Code Quality: Professional commitment and skills of maintaining code quality.
Location

This role is open to Australian Citizens only. Candidates who currently hold or are able to obtain Federal Government Security Clearances are highly desirable.
