We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our client's Financial Services team in Springvale. This is a 3-month contract role with the opportunity for extension and/or permanent, based 5 days out of their Springvale office.

About the Role

This position involves managing vendor relationships, processing payments accurately, recording transactions, and reconciliations. You will also be responsible for generating and issuing invoices, monitoring collections, responding to customer inquiries, and allocating payments accurately.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Receive and verify invoices, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Manage vendor relationships, resolving discrepancies, and maintaining strong communication.
  • Record transactions and perform AP reconciliations, ensuring compliance with accounting procedures.
  • Generate and issue invoices promptly, monitor collections, and maintain accurate records.
  • Respond to customer inquiries, manage credit limits, and ensure timely resolution.
  • Allocate payments accurately, reconcile AR ledger, and maintain financial data integrity.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, adhering to industry standards.
About You

We are looking for a skilled professional with 2-5 years' experience in Accounts Payable and Receivable functions, possessing a strong understanding of accounting procedures. Your attention to detail, quality of work, and ability to meet deadlines are essential. Proactive research, analysis, and problem-solving skills are also necessary.

You should have strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work effectively in a high-volume environment. Intermediate-level proficiency in Word and Excel is required. A true team player with a positive attitude and commitment to delivering exceptional results is ideal.
