Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing project management support to Defence clients on high-profile government projects.
  • Offering commercial and capability management advice across the acquisition and sustainment lifecycle.
  • Leading capability management activities for Defence projects, including managing project documentation, budgets, and stakeholder coordination.
  • Developing and maintaining key project documentation, including schedules, risk registers, and briefs for senior leadership.
  • Coordinating with Defence Prime Contractors, CASG Project Offices, and other stakeholders to manage deliverables and ensure project outcomes are met.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in project management, program management, procurement, or contract management, ideally within the Australian Government or Department of Defence.
  • A strong understanding of the Defence capability lifecycle, procurement methodologies, and commercial risk management.
  • Proven ability to build effective relationships and communicate with influence with clients and diverse stakeholders.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach with the ability to work independently on unstructured tasks.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent demonstrated experience. Project management qualifications are highly desirable.
  • A minimum Negative Vetting 1 (NV1) AGSVA security clearance, or the ability to reinstate a previous clearance.
