Messaging Specialist Role

Delivering innovative Messaging solutions that meet the evolving needs of complex Defence and government projects.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and maintain Messaging infrastructure for distributed environments.
  • Create and maintain network reference architectures to support solution development.
  • Provide expert advice on Messaging networks to stakeholders, facilitating project definition and system architecture.
  • Analyse, log, track, and resolve complex issues pertaining to Messaging infrastructure.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Messaging Technician in Defence.
  • Demonstrated expertise in developing and maintaining Messaging Infrastructure across distributed environments.
  • Familiarity with Exchange and AD administration, Message Transfer Agents, Microsoft Skype, and XMPP chat tools.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, with experience presenting to stakeholders and engaging with business areas.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • Strong knowledge of governance frameworks, including Australia Information Security Manual.
  • Understanding of ADF deployed environments and unique networking, support, and security constraints.

This is a highly complex and confidential role requiring Australian citizenship and a minimum NV2 security clearance.
