About the Opportunity

Rio Tinto, a leading global mining and materials company, is seeking an experienced Project Controls Expert Leader to join our Project Controls team in Brisbane.

Job Description:

We are looking for a seasoned professional with at least 15 years' experience in project controls to lead the improvement of project control practices within our APAC Portfolio of Studies. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the mining industry and be able to interpret and present project data effectively.

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating, maintaining and reporting on project forecasts and other project controls data, identifying improvement opportunities for streamlining project controls work processes, and coordinating the development of project control accounts and budgets.

You will also be required to coordinate the setup and issuance of cost reports, including cost control curves, and develop contingency and change management procedures. Additionally, you will need to implement effective contingency and change management processes and set up and implement project progress measurement practices.

The role requires excellent leadership skills, with the ability to work in a team environment and provide technical support to project stakeholders. You will also need to utilize guidance and protocols for project controls in the projects framework.

What We Offer

Rio Tinto offers a competitive base salary of approximately $140,000 - $160,000 per year, reflective of your skills and experience, as well as an annual incentive program.
