Job Summary:
Southern River College, an Independent Public School, seeks a dedicated and highly competent teacher to support students within our Specialised Autism Learning Program (SALP).
The successful applicant will work as part of a team to deliver highly engaging teaching programs designed to support the social-emotional learning of SALP students.
The role requires the ability to develop individual learning programs and provide support to teachers across the college to assist SALP students in engaging successfully within their timetabled classes.
A strong understanding of evidence-based practices that support students with disability to engage successfully within an integrated and inclusive college environment is essential.
We offer a competitive salary of $84,000-$117,782 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.

Requirements:
- Certificate IV in Education Support or Diploma in Teaching or equivalent qualification
- Experience working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder
- Knowledge of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA), positive behaviour support, and evidenced-based teaching practices
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, parents, and students
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate the following requirements:
- Apply evidence-based pedagogy for improving student outcomes relevant to the WA curriculum
- Monitor, review, and report on the performance of students by creating individualised learning plans
- Demonstrate high level interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with colleagues, parents, and students
