Job OverviewWe are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate Learning Support Coordinator to join our team. As the leader of learning support across the school, you will work collaboratively with teachers and education assistants to ensure teaching and learning adjustments for students with learning difficulties are implemented across the curriculum to meet individual student needs.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and manage individual student programs, utilizing your teaching experience and skills to develop behavior management strategies for students with a range of disabilities.
- Demonstrate a strong knowledge of the curriculum across all year levels, supporting teachers to modify the curriculum to cater to students with learning difficulties.
- Effectively direct and manage Education Assistants working as support in the classroom.
- Liaise with parents and therapists to meet the educational and care needs of the students.
- Provide support to staff with transitions and reporting.
- A commitment to professional learning, experience with Special Educational Needs (SEN), and high-level participation in collaborative team planning are essential qualities for this role.
- The ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships to achieve planned outcomes is crucial.
- Demonstrated professional knowledge and the ability to apply this knowledge to ensure high educational outcomes for all students.
- Capacity to manage physical and financial resources efficiently.
