Reliability Maintenance Engineering Technician

This is a challenging opportunity to lead a technical team in carrying out reactive and proactive maintenance activities, repairing and maintaining the machinery that keeps our business running.

Key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Supervising and leading maintenance technicians by motivating and guiding them to achieve their goals.
  • Delivering and maintaining preventive maintenance programs, building compliance programs, including facility and contractor management.
  • Acting as an ambassador for safety within the team and promoting safe working practices across the site.
  • Managing maintenance-related purchase orders to maximize smooth facility operation and control of critical spare and store inventory to ensure adequate stock levels for maintenance.
  • Installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting all facility systems including power distribution, automated material handling equipment, conveyance, and all other operational equipment.
  • Developing and maintaining good working relationships across all levels in the organization, including regular attendance to site leadership meetings and steering committees.

A day in the life involves monitoring processes so that regulations and policies are followed, ensuring that preventative maintenance is carried out to increase equipment uptime. You will also suggest improvements to make our systems more efficient and productive.

The Reliability Maintenance Engineering team works together to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment across our global network. Our people are leaders who oversee the team as they work on exciting technology, some of which only exists at our company.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

We require:

  • Formal trade qualifications: Certificate III in Electrotechnology or equivalent trade qualifications formally recognized in Australia.
  • Experience in industrial maintenance, FMCG, manufacturing, and/or logistics.
  • Leadership experience in supervising multi-trade teams in a fast-paced industrial manufacturing/distribution center environment.
  • Experience in mentoring and developing technicians.
  • Relevant experience in automation or material handling equipment environments.
  • Experience using CMMS to plan proactive maintenance and record reactive tasks.
  • Experience in contractor management.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

It would be beneficial if you have:

  • Experience in automated conveyor systems and controls, electrical and electronic principles, preventative maintenance procedures, blueprint and schematic reading.
  • Knowledge of statutory compliance requirements.
  • Facility management experience.
