Award and Event Manager - State Media Awards
DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled Award and Event Manager to lead the event and award management of our five annual State Media Awards. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the events, including planning, scheduling, and implementation.
The ideal candidate will have excellent time management and interpersonal skills, with experience in event organisation, marketing communications, budget management, and establishing and maintaining relationships with stakeholders.
Responsibilities include:
- Attending and overseeing events in Tasmania, South Australia, Queensland, WA, and the Northern Territory
- Implementing event planning and scheduling
- Working closely with state awards committees
- Negotiating with suppliers to deliver successful outcomes
- Ensuring sponsors' benefits are delivered
- Delivering marketing and communication materials for each event
- Co-ordinating AV creation and management for events
- Script coordination
- Scheduling volunteers for events
- Maintaining integrity and confidentiality of entry and judging processes
- Engaging with media organisations
- Co-ordinating judging procedures
- Ensuring diversity across all judging panels
