Occupational Therapist Grade 2 Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist Grade 2 to join our dedicated team of Mental Health Occupational Therapists and Behaviour Support Practitioners. As a key member of our NDIS Therapy Services team, you will provide tailored support to individuals aged 12 to 64 with psychosocial disabilities and co-occurring conditions like autism spectrum disorder and intellectual disability.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and deliver individualized interventions primarily through outreach, including home and community visits in the Local Government Areas of Casey, Cardinia, and Dandenong.
- Develop and implement sensory-based intervention plans to enhance clients' quality of life and foster their growth and inclusion in the community.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive support services.
- Conduct thorough assessments and develop individualized plans to meet clients' unique needs.
- Provide education and support to clients and their families to promote independence and community participation.
- Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy (Bachelor's degree minimum).
- Registration with Australian Practitioners Health Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Current Australian driver's license and own car.
- Current Police and Working with Children Check.
- A cleared NDIS National Worker Screening Check prior to commencement of employment.
- Knowledge and experience in applying OT practice in community mental health settings.
- Experience with sensory assessment and implementing sensory-based intervention plans.
- Sound knowledge of current theory and practice in occupational therapy.
- Highly developed listening and communication skills.
- Ability to manage own workload and set priorities without supervision.
