About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and empathetic Occupational Therapist Grade 2 to join our dedicated team of Mental Health Occupational Therapists and Behaviour Support Practitioners at EACH Victoria.

In partnership with the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), you will provide tailored support to individuals aged 12 to 64 with psychosocial disabilities and co-occurring conditions like autism spectrum disorder and intellectual disability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and deliver individualized interventions primarily through outreach, including home and community visits in the Local Government Areas of Casey, Cardinia, and Dandenong.
  • Work collaboratively with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement personalized support plans.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and develop tailored interventions to enhance clients' quality of life and foster their growth and inclusion in the community.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, families, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and support.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy (Bachelor's degree minimum).
  • Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Current Australian driver's license and own car.
  • Current Police and Working with Children Check.
  • A cleared NDIS National Worker Screening Check prior to commencement of employment.
  • Knowledge and experience in applying OT practice in community mental health settings.
  • Experience with sensory assessment and implementing sensory-based intervention plans.
  • Sound knowledge of current theory and practice in occupational therapy.
  • Highly developed listening and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage own workload and set priorities without supervision.
