Job Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Financial Career Specialist to join our multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert financial guidance and support to individuals, couples, and families in need.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver face-to-face, phone, and online consultations to clients requiring financial assistance
  • Facilitate educational workshops as necessary
  • Maintain an agreed caseload and up-to-date client files
  • Provide advocacy, support, and wrap-around referral services for clients
  • Attend interagency meetings and other external gatherings as required
  • Ensure timely data entry on both internal and external reporting systems
  • Undertake and adhere to specifications for training, supervision, and professional registration
Essential Requirements:
  • Diploma of Financial Counselling or equivalent qualification
  • Current membership of Financial Counsellors Association of NSW
  • A minimum of 12 months experience working as a Financial Counsellor
  • Understanding of the needs of First Nation communities and Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) communities
  • Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software
  • Current NSW Driver's Licence - P1 or above, and access to own insured vehicle for work purposes
