Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our team as an Assistant PIER BAR Manager at Pier One Sydney Harbour. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for assisting in the daily operations of our five-star hotel, ensuring guest and employee satisfaction while maintaining the operating budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the daily operations of the hotel, including menu planning, maintaining sanitation standards, and assisting servers and hosts on the floor during peak meal periods.
  • Ensure guest and employee satisfaction while maintaining the operating budget.
  • Accountable for ensuring standards and legal obligations are followed.
  • Participate in department meetings by communicating a clear and consistent message regarding the departmental goals to produce desired results.
  • Monitor alcohol beverage service in compliance with local laws.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED; 3 years of experience in the food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area.
  • 2-year degree from an accredited university in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major; 1 year of experience in the food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area.
  • Ability to think outside the box and have an open-minded personality.
