Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Officer / Facilities Technician to join our team at Pier One Sydney Harbour. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for performing a range of maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our hotel.



Key Responsibilities


  • Perform routine maintenance services and repairs, including plumbing, carpentry, painting, and electrical work.
  • Respond to maintenance requests from guests and colleagues, and perform minor repairs as needed.
  • Attend to scheduled preventive maintenance tasks to ensure the continued functionality of our hotel systems.
  • Assist with maintaining the integrity of our facility's boiler system, pumps, ventilation systems, and other building components.
  • Ensure that all maintenance work is carried out in accordance with our property's preventive maintenance procedures and standard guidelines.


Requirements


  • Previous experience in a maintenance or facilities role, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment.
  • Strong technical skills and ability to work with a range of tools and equipment.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with ability to work effectively with colleagues and guests.
  • Ability to work a rotating shift schedule, including weekends and evenings.
